Cancellation policy

Welcome to Island Gemz Taxi and Tours Dominica. By booking any of our taxi or tour services, you (“the client”, “customer”, or “you”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Bookings and Deposits

• Bookings can be made via our website, WhatsApp, phone, or email.
• To confirm a booking, a full payment or a non-refundable deposit is required.
• The remaining balance, if any, must be paid on or before the day of service, as specified in your booking confirmation.
• Payments can be made in cash or via online payment methods approved by Island Gemz Taxi and Tours Dominica.

2. Cancellations and Refunds
• Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled service to avoid further charges.
• The deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances.
• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the service or for no-shows.
• In the unlikely event that we must cancel a service due to unforeseen circumstances (such as severe weather, road closures, or safety concerns), we will offer to reschedule or provide a full refund of any payments made (excluding the non-refundable deposit if the cancellation is outside our control).

3. Service Conditions
• All passengers are expected to behave respectfully towards the driver, guide, and other participants.
• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone behaving in a disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate manner.
• Smoking and illegal substances are not permitted in our vehicles or during tours.
• Pick up and drop off times are approximate; delays may occur due to traffic or weather conditions.

4. Liability and Disclaimer
• Island Gemz Taxi and Tours Dominica is fully insured in accordance with local transport and tourism regulations.
• While we take every precaution for your safety and comfort, participation in any taxi service or tour is at your own risk.
• We are not liable for:
• Loss or damage to personal property
• Delays, cancellations, or changes caused by weather, road closures, traffic, or events beyond our control
• Personal injury or illness, unless directly caused by our proven negligence
• We recommend that all customers obtain personal travel insurance covering tours and excursions in Dominica.

5. Pricing and Payments
• All prices are quoted in US Dollars unless stated otherwise.
• Prices are subject to change without notice, but confirmed bookings will not be affected.
• Tips and gratuities for drivers or guides are optional and always appreciated.

6. Customer Responsibilities
• Please ensure that all information provided at the time of booking (such as contact details, pick-up location, number of passengers, etc.) is accurate.
• Customers must be ready at the designated pick-up point at the agreed time.
• Any changes to your booking (number of passengers, destination, etc.) should be communicated as soon as possible and may result in a price adjustment.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dominica.
